We are all aware of just who Lady Luck is. Heck Frank Sanatra had a whole song about her. Unfortunately Lady Luck doesn't come around often enough to call her dependable. So those who are desperate enough to take risk, hoping luck is on their side, will end up taking too much risk. Talent, dedication and the ability to anticipate change goes a lot further. I know, because I've been desperate. Finding income in time of crisis is next to impossible.
Everyone has a plan A-going to work every day, either commuting to and from their brick and mortar employer, or earning from home. Those who have a plan B and C are ahead of crisis, those who are actually working with plan B are creating their own stability. One guy I know of created his own business on the side, so when his company "downsized" he invested in himself immediately. He expanded his store on Ebay and opened his own website. Today, three years later he employs more people so he can spend casual time with his wife and three children!
Sounds like a pain in the neck but it keeps the roof over your head. Luck had nothing to do with it. Hard work and determination made him a success!
