Vector Marketing Corporation is a scam review

If you've been considering Vector Marketing Corporation for any reason, think twice.  Vector Marketing Corporation tries to create the illusion it is an employer that is "hiring". I don't care what you are considering this company for but any company that operates like this must have more dirty practices than this one.

Vector Marketing is the new name for Cutco Cutlery. At Cutco you would purchase about $250 worth of knives to bring with you as you go door to door trying to sell more sets of Cutco cutlery. Now, with a new name, they disguise themselves as employers. They list the "job" as Customer Service/Sales. You send them your resume' and they call you to "interview" for the job. The "interview" for the job is actually a sales pitch to as many people as they can get to ignorantly come to their buy a set of their knives. Then you take those knives and carry them around door to door to sell more Cutco Cutlery. You get the picture I'm sure.
 If you miss your "interview" they send you this nice email that says you missed it but if you have a good reason for missing it they will understand.

Vector gets the word out to college students and college graduates as well. The only problem with this method of deception- These kids go home and to their part time jobs and warn others of the deception. Those kids tell other kids. Adults don't have this kind of pipeline, unless they have kids.

I can't say enough about Vector Marketing other than I will be doing some research on them to find out just where else they are "dirty". I wonder what the BBB hase to say about them! I did notice they have begun advertising employment on Monster. There are 105 possitions on there. But the good news is Monster is aware of their practices and will be removing them soon.

While much is being said over the internet by people caught up in there deception there are many responses from the actual employees working in their offices. They are receptionists and secretarys all who not only support Vectors practices they have nothing but the best things to say about the company. What bothers me is why are all the positive statements from the actual employees that get W2s, W9s from the company?

I for one am getting out of the city today. I need a weekend with no technology around me.
Here's an update. I have found forums that argue that vector Marketing is not a scam but simply a company that lets people earn a great commission from selling knives. 98 persent of these people supporting Vector are the people in the actual offices of Vector. They back Vector by saying so many people need to attend one interview because the managers couldn't schedule one person at a time in an eight hour work day. They say that although they have to buy their knives first they are giving them a great deal on them. These people support the requirement that the buyers they sell to live in a house, not an apartment and have children.
Like I said earlier, it's the way the attract their traffic to these interviews that put up red lights for me. It is horribly deceptive to me. They are not transparent about the position, They leave you with the impression you will be the only one there at the "interview". It's not until you get there that you find out you are getting sold to buy their knives and you will be part of a group that gets to listen to the managers great tales of success during that sales drive. I'm sure this isn't the last we'll be hearing from Vector.

Ad placers network has to be a scam

I was looking under "gigs" in craigslist. I must say I have had some luck finding some short lived "gigs" doing this. Today I ran into a "gig" that I emailed out of curiosity. I was answered quickly with a web site to go to. The first thing that tipped me off is all the site wanted was my phone number. Have you ever gotten an immediate phone call offering to sell you on continuing education or travel? So I went to the google search page and entered, "is ad placers network a scam". I got 11 pages of stuff that was in there due to the creators of the web site. This put up another red light! So I went into google again with the key words Ad placers network review scam". TA DA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There they were! Cha Cha, answers.com, you name it all saying it's a scam, the company doesn't exist, etc. New enemies, new hunting techniques obviously necessary. I was recently informed that what AdPlacersNetwork has you do is post ads on craigs list and get paid to do so. This is against craigslist terms and conditions. You are the only one that stands the high risk of being banned from craigslist because you are getting paid to post ads. Unless you don't care whether you have an account on craigslist, go ahead and try it! But as of May through July 15th people like you are having problems with adplacers making payroll!
