Just the combination of craigslist and ad placers network is illegal. I've just learned the action ad placers network wants you to take is against the terms and conditions for craigslist! For those of you who just started researching ad placers network, they tell you they will pay you for running advertisements online for them. They don't pay people and some get $100 compensation for their trouble, not nearly the amount people are promised. They want you to to get a "Rush" card to get paid. What makes me think they own that too? Any other electronic pay system would not appreciate this illegal activity.
What makes it illegal is craigslist terms and conditions. You, as a craigslist member are not to post ads with them, online for payment for simply doing so! They can never get caught for wrong doing because the risk is all on the members of craigslist who perform this activity.
This reminds me of the scams run on those who advertise on craigslist. They offer to buy some expensive item immediately, sight unseen. They tell you they will pay you through paypal immediately and have a third party shipper arrange the pick up. They hope you will withdraw the money immediately so they can file a dispute that the item was never received. Any way you look at it, if you enter into the transaction they win.
When this was tried on me the first time, I became suspicious because no one buys a used fishing boat sight unseen! The biggest thing that made me mad was the time I spent researching this suspicious activity.
Ad placers network is just another wart on the online scene.
